my thoughts

I think that this was a very vaulable use of time. While, I had some technical difficulties teaching myself about these products, it didn't prevent me from learning and enjoying. There were many "things" that I had heard of but didn't have any experience with, so it was good to learn.

Well unfortunately, technical difficulties have once again prevented me from fully participating in this "thing." I downloaded the overdrive software but got an error when I tried to download a film. I did explore around and am impressed by the selection offered.

I will try again at home. Maybe there is something on the work computers that prevents the download?

podcasts

This exercise was a little frustrating. The first several podcasts I tried were no longer in service. And I am using google so I wasn't sure how to link. And I didn't do well with the RSS feeds in the beginning. So confusing and hard.

you tube

I was a little stumped at first about what to search for. My husband uses youtube all the time to watch concert footage and old cartoons. I tried looking for cute kids singing, but nothing cool. Then I tried Buffy convention stuff, still nothing cool. Then I search for Obama and McCain's acceptance speeches. It was cool to watch those again.

CML power tools

It was interesting to discover that we are not just advertising CML tools. We don't seem to have a lot of customer posts on the gmail discussion yet. Are customers finding this, or are they not interested?

web 2.0 awards

WorldCat only gets an honorable mention?! I don't if I trust this ranking. Although, I had never heard of some of these classified sites. Craigslist I knew, I will have to check out these others. No catagory for parenting type stuff though, that's disappointing.

google docs

I have actually already used this. One of the real benefits that I found was putting my Christmas card list on it and authorizing my family to use it too. That way anyone can update the addresses and everyone has access to the whole thing. Very cool.
